Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 1 hr 57 Min
A must-see for those who are curious about animation; this film is groundbreaking in so many ways. The colour pallets - pinks, purples, Spider-Man reds and blues. The various styles of animation used in combination with the multi-verse and different Spider-Men included was delighting. It was an excellent film to introduce the viewer that is not familiar with the multiple Spider-Man origin stories while at the same time poking fun at the formula itself. The self-aware narration was a clever and relate-able choice since this is one of many recent super hero movies let alone the first time they’ve heard a Spider-Man origin story in particular.
The characters were fantastic, their relationships with each other well developed, the motivation behind their actions pure and sincere and inline with their personalities.
We’ve had a difficult time completing a solid review for this film, so our best advice, if you’re into animated films, Sony animation, Spider-man lore, or a different Spider-Man film than you’ve seen in the past give it a shot!
